This may seem like a slightly odd suggestion.

Stan Wright, a Prop with the Leinster Rugby team, hails from the Cook Islands.

I remember reading an interview with him where he encouraged tourists to experience his home nation and he's a proud Cook Islander, seems a very decent guy and is popular with fellow players and supporters.

If you so wish, be a bit 'old school' and write to him c/o:

    Leinster Rugby
    55 Main Street
    Donnybrook
    Dublin 4

Ive been to the Cook Islands before - absolutely stunning part of the world. I stopped off there as part of a round the world air ticket though.

Why not just book flights and hotels yourself rather than going through a travel agency? Air NewZealand fly there from Auckland and Los Angeles from what I can remember!

If youve any other questions, I may also be able to help. Did you have any ideas about which islands you'd like to visit while you're there?

thanks folks, see the other option i was thinking was my cousin lives in melbourne he was saying to come over to austrailia for the year or 2 and it be cheaper to fly from there to cook islands then going getting just flights and hotel, ive priced it as a holiday by myself and 2 agencies came back with starting pack of 5k which is nuts as you can fly to austrailia for 1k surely wouldnt be that much from there to cook islands?

Going via Oz would most probably work out cheaper unless you want a round the world ticket or an Air New Zealand South Pacific Airpass.
