How long do I wait

    Hey, just a quick question, after I have sent a CV in for a job, should I follow up with a phonecall if I havnt heard anything back within a few weeks, may sound desperate? just not sure, cheers

    I think it depends on whether it was an advertised job or you sent it in hoping something might come up...

    If it was advertised and had a closing date for applications I'd wait until a week or two after and then follow up with a call to confirm they have received your cv - personally, I dont see it as desperation, I think it shows genuine interest and hopefully when they review the applicants your name will stand out having already spoken with you

    To be honest I have a problem similar to that right now. On the 20th I applied to an advertised position (for Apple). 2 days later I got a mail with a task to be handed in the next day until 4pm. Send it there at 2.30pm, so well within the time limit. That was on the 23rd...and ever since I heard nothing. The advertisement for the job (think it's more than one position) is still going about but I haven't heard anything anymore.
    I actually send the person that gave me a task a mail already but no reply to that either =/
    Bit clueless what to think now....the job is supposed to start at the 11th but as I say, advertisements have been placed all-over only a few days ago still.
