Got this at work today, next time your worried about your shoe booties not quite matching your bidons, or your feeling sorry for yourself on a climb think of these guys.... (not into the obvious religious messages but whatever floats you boat I guess)

    Amazing.

A true story One day a son asks his father: "Daddy, will you run the marathon with me?" The father answers yes and both run their first marathon together. One day, the son asks his father if he wants to run the marathon with him again and the father answers yes. They both run the marathon together again. Then one day the son asks his father: "Daddy, will you run the Ironman with me?" (the Ironman is the toughest...it requires a 4km swim, 180km biking and 42km running). The father says yes again. This all sounds easy...but check this video.

Have seen this before, really inspiring story. Actually have that video on my iPod, one of the videos I watch the night before a big race when I'm lying in a hotel bed struggling to sleep.

Started my Thursday off with a few tears. I showed this to my son, to show him what a "parent" would do for their "children", he is 12 and had the odd tear or 2 as well.
For any father, to put themselves through that, for a son, who wants to do it, but physically is unable, shows exactly what a parent would and "should" do for their children.
Will make me think long and hard, anytime I'm at odds with my 2 children, that is a very inspiring, emotional, yet happy story
