Now that the launch is over I'm thinking towards up and coming games for the 3DS. The only thing it's all a bit vague. Dead or alive Dimensions has been confirmed for a May release and looks pretty good.
    http://www.gamingunion.net/news/dead-or-alive-dimensions-releasing-in-may--4444.html

Ocarina of time is due for a release sometime in June and the virtual console update is due at the end of May but I'm personally not aware of anything else on the horizon within the next two months.

There was a story on Go Nintendo the other day saying there was some leaked info on release dates for the 3DS.

JAMES NOIRS HOLLYWOOD CRIMES 06/05 46,99€
    DRIVER RENEGADE 06/05 46,99€
RESIDENT EVIL: THE MERCENARIES 06/05 50,99€
    KID ICARUS: UPRISING 06/05 46,99€
    STARFOX 64 06/05 46,99€
DEAD OR ALIVE: DIMENSIONS 27/05 46,99€
    SPORTS ISLAND 03/06 46,99€
ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME 17/06 46,99€
    NARUTO SHIPPUDEN 3D 17/06 50,99€

    Here's the Go Nintendo link
    http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=154394

and the original story from a Spanish site.

    http://www.escuadronpikmin.com/2011/03/29/posibles-fechas-europeas-de-los-proximos-lanzamientos-de-nintendo-3ds-zelda-star-fox-kid-icarus/

I'll be getting Starfox 64 (or Lylat Wars!) for definite!

If those prices are correct I'm a bit dissapointed that Nintendo are charging full price for Starwing 64 and Ocarina of Time. I know they're great games, will be in 3D and have some extra features but at the end of the day they're thirteen or fourteen year old Nintendo 64 games that you can buy on Wii virtual console for a tenner. It's not like they had to develope the games from scratch. Surely E29.99 would be more reasonable?
I'll give them a miss at that price until they're reduced/pre owned for for 15-30 Euro. I'll definitely be getting Dead or Alive Dimensions and Resident Evil though.

51 euro for a handheld game is a bit much.
    20 euros much.

It will probably translate to 45 Euro in reality as that seems to be the standard price for 3DS games. I don't mind that as it's a new system and it's only a fiver more than the average DS new release but 45 Euro for N64 remake games is a bit mental. If Capcom can remake Super street fighter II in HD, sell it for 15 Euro on XLBA/PSN and still make a healthy profit then I can't see the justification of a 45 Euro price tag for N64 remakes. Sure it's a physical medium, unlike Capcom with Street fighter HD remix, but 15 Euro vs 45 Euro? That's having a laugh.

Pricing like that only plays into the hands of flash card dealers. Full whack for handheld games, with some of them being 15 year old ports is farcical to say the least, and stupid on the part of Nintendo. €24.99 all day long, & wage a social war on flash carts is what they should be doing.

This kind of greed just backs up the case for having them (flash carts), or at the very least gives an arguing point to have one. It's daylight robbery, albeit in 3d

Not a hope Nintendo is realeasing Kid Icarus and Starfox on the same day. Not a hooooooooope.

I'd also like to see the prices for games reduced, €40 would be a good point. Saying that, I'll be buying OoT on release.

They probably will go down to E40 in 6-12 months. When the DS first came out the games were about E45 too I think. I remember the days when you would pay around £60 for a Snes game. I think World cup Striker was £70( Could be a myth.) When you take into account inflation and the change to the Euro things have progressed a lot.

SF2 Turbo was £70 punts on release, but it was a new game. OoT is a 15 year old port, it'd be like charging £70 for an Atari 2600 port of Berzerk on the SNES. Pure greed.

I totally agree that charging full price for a N64 remake is bordering on theft.
I really hope people will just not buy it and force Nintendo to reduce it to something like E30.

Wasn't the £70 for the special edition of SF2 Turbo, with the tin box and the badge?

Being the Zelda fan I am, I'll still buy it anyway, & that's what Nintendo are counting on unfortunately.

Em, nope I think it was the bog standard version of SF2T, I remember saving up for AGES to get it...figure of £70 rooted in my head for that one.

Those were the days. I remember trying to convince my parents that it was different enough from the World Warrior so they would get it on Xmas for me. They thought it was a scam but I convinced them to get it in the end.
I don't think you could trade in games in shops back then either so you were stuck with the World Warrior. Kind of glad in retrospect, as I still have my original copies of both games .:D

It's way too much, I've honestly never spent more than €30 on a handheld game and I never will.

There is speculation that Majoras mask is included in the OoT cart: good news if it's true!

I've never really differentiated between handheld and home console games when it came to what I expect to pay for them. I don't consider myself to be getting better value out of a home console game compared to an equally priced handheld one, so why should I expect to pay less for the handheld one? If anything on average I tend to sink more hours into a given handheld game than I do a home console one, but that's probably because I tend to play a lot of RPGs on handhelds.

We can look back at the days of paying £70 for an incremental update of an already released SNES game as the 'good old days', but personally I think game prices are far fairer now (I don't remember ever paying £70 for a game back then though...maybe Virtua Racing on the MD?)

It was posted today. I don't believe a word of news posted on April 1st.

Majora's Mark with OoT is little too good to be true, especially since Nintendo could realise it on its own and it'd sell like crazy!

The next 3DS games I'll plan to buy are Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising. Something else might catch my eye though!

I do wonder how long it will be before Majora's Mask is released on the 3DS. It's the game I have most wanted to play for years.

According to Wiki it's out on Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and Wii Virtual Console

I actually have the LoZ collectors disk for the gamecube. One tv in the house + young baby however means I rarely get to play the gamecube. I prefer handheld now.

I'll be buying a 3DS as soon as Ocarina of Time comes out. Majora's Mask would be great too, but unlikely.

I hope the rumour about the Yoshi's Island remake turns out to be true.

That was indeed an April Fools. sorry if we got ya on that one, haha.

Though hopefully if OOT does well, and I'm sure it will we could see MM get s 3DS remake too. Likely won't hear any confirmation till after OOT is out though.

Hey Mokong, think I met you at the rds for the boys4big boys thing just before the release of the Wii. I was there with my brother, first in line to race in and try it. :-) Get your hands on any of the preview copies of the second wave yet?

Haha, that was a good few years back alright, how the hell did ya remember that? Yeah were ye the guys we played some DS multiplayer with? Think did we play New Super Mario Bros and then ye had the Starfox DS game that we did a download play of?

Not gotten anything since launch on the 3DS front... yet

(I actually rarely write reviews anymore myself so I actually get nothing of nothing anyway, haha, I just do a lot of stuff in the background now :P)

Wow, we get a console AND a game 2 days before America.
    End of the world!!!

I'd rather they'd spend those 4 days on translating the last story though.
    Lazy treehouse.
