I am travelling EI to MCO from T2 and was considering paying into a lounge. Think there is the EI one for €20 or Anna Livia for the same price.

Is it worth the €20 to have somewhere quiet to sit and do you get free drink/snacks?

Cheers for the photo. Have to say looks a bit dissapointing. Not sure if its worth the €20. Is there a good view from it?

yep its in the old pier c

Those photos show only one part of the lounge. It is spread over 2 floors with a viewing area on the top floor. It is meant to be getting a hot food counter as well as having showers, pc work stations and 2 tv areas complete with sofas.

It's an improvement on the old pier b and if you think you will get through 20e's worth of food/drink and newspapers id say go for it

Is it only €20? Why did I think these lounges were expensive, I presume you have to fly with Aer Lingus in order to access the lounge?

It's worth the view out over the ramp between Piers E & B if you're an aviation buff. Looks right at gate 408(usually an EI A320 or EY A333 parked there).

I think 20 is fine - I would get through 20 easily before a flight. The other EI lounges I have been have been pretty poor - Boston being the worst, windowless black hole of calcutta. I ended up just sitting in the bar upstairs instead, very depressing place. The Lounge in Cork is nice - never there long enough to make it value for money though.

Well that 1st photo was taken from the upstairs mezzanine level. The bit you see id less than half the floorspace ot the lower level. You have complimentary drinks and snacks, TV with couches, free wi-fi,. It look out onto the ramp area so a good view, if its sunny you can bask in the rays in the upper level (2 story windows so lots of light)

If you go early and have 2-3 drinks and use the wi-fi you have made back your 20 quid compared to a bar in the terminal.

Actually not 100% true. Pier C was decommissioned and refurbished, it now acts as the airside link between T1 and T2. Rather than knock it down the DAA incorporated it into the new developement. Where there used to be the C gates we now find the Airlines lounges. The building itself was retained just remodeled inside. You can still find a few little nooks and crannys from when it was in use as Pier C.

FYI, most lounges have a 2/3 hour limit.

Only part of the structure was retained as the link between T1 and T2, most of it was knocked to make way for T2. Either way, its now T2, not Pier C.

You have to be travelling EI and pay €20. You can select it when you pay for the flight or add it to the booking using the manage booking part of the website.

You can still see the shadows on the wall alongside the travelator from the old 'heritage' pictures they used to have up. The old Garda immigration hall complete with world flags still exists too.

I went in there for the first time recently (Elite Gold Circle member). It's pretty nice, but they do need to improve the food offering. However, the seating is comfortable and roomy.

    It's a nice improvement.
