You can do it if you're registered with agfood.ie

It can be applied for and printed out instantly.

Its really simple. Just go on and click on movements and fill out the details.

You don't even have to know the buyers details - they can be filled out on the form that you have to return to the Movement Agency :)

Its new. I don't keep a herd register anymore as I do it all online. I hate the peperwork. I imagine that over the next 10 years, farming will be a paperless operation.

online is a gr8 job alright:)

less chance of the CS's returning the paper work of registering calves as the stock bulls number was not recorded on every single line of the animal events book(just the top one and indicated 'all') and then losing out on SCWS as calves registered late OR like the time i started a page at the end of december 08 for registering calves and also had janurary 09 calves on the same page and they generated an awful amount of letters where any sensible person would of picked up the phone. yes i know these errors were my fault but the intentions were obvious!!!

well thats my little rant over

    but online gr8 job:D

have you to use a software package for the online register? I have been registering the calves online for the last few years

Last june or July I signed up for the on line register but when I click on it now it just says herd register from **june 2010 and can't get any further

Sorry I probably didn't explain that too well, but you might get my drift

i think if the 2 parties are on line you can do it online without printing off the form and posting it.even less hassel and faster.

    Thanks,

I thought maybe you could see latest entries as they occurred.

separate to going into different sections , animal movements, births etc

You're not required by now to update your blue herd register anymore. However, you still have to keep your animal remedy records. There is nowhere online to keep these. There are a few ways to keep this by paper trail but I think that the best way to do it is to keep filling it into the back of the blue book.
