Passport Renewal

    I submitted my passport renewal application 6 weeks ago, and still nothing back. I have a flight to Manchester on Apr 12th with Ryanair (who insist on passports for all their flights).
    I have tried calling the PPO but just get a recorded message telling me the queue is too big and they can't deal with my query. I have sent an email to the PPO also, but given that they are refusing to deal with phone queries, I don't see why email queries are any different.
    When I enter my application code on the website, its telling me that the application is received and registered, but no word of when I'm likely to receive the new passport.

    Has anyone got advice for me? Will I need to get an emergency passport? Am I better off going into the office and queueing up to be dealt with?

    Passport is in the post. While their phone system is not good, have to say PPO Customer Service via email is very helpful and efficient.
