Has anybody seen this? I think it has been on a few weeks but I saw it tonight for the first time. Most of it tonight was about a girl from Dublin. She's 25 but has had 70% burns since the age of 7.
In one way I thought it was so sad to see how downbeat she is about many things. One the other hand, my God what's been through, yet still went on to college studying law (when she could have looked for some back room 'hidden' job) and her realistic "this is fu*king sh*t" perspective was somehow refreshing. I hope her pessimistic view on men doesn't keep her from meeting someone great, though I also couldn't disagree with her that they're eejits :p
I was never a Katie Piper fan, and never like "oh so inspirational" shows that I thought this might be like. I have to say both won me over though!

Damn I missed that. Was it all burns victims telling their stories?

Tonight it was two (that girl and a teenage boy) but I had a quick look on the channel 4 website and there are a couple of other burns victims and the rest with various other disfigurements. I can never watch things on the Channel 4 website but I don't know if that's my poor connection or being outside the UK. Maybe you could watch it there? Or it'll probably be repeated.

Yeah, I saw the first episode and really enjoyed it. Found Katie to be a genuinely nice person on the show. She's amazing the way she gets out there and promotes and fundraises.

Saw the programme with Emily thought it was really good and a more realistic depiction of living with burns than the first programme. I really felt for Emily though and thought she was fantastic to overcome so much to get a law degree and masters, really hope she gets a job and finds someone special.

What was the first programme like? Was it a girl with burns on her body but not on her face. She's on the Channel 4 website too (and seems very pretty from her pictures. Cow! haha j/k :D )

As I said I can't watch things on that website ;) The brief description does say the girl in episode one has burns on half her body, I was just asking what chocgirl meant about Emily's story being a more realistic description

Sorry probably didn't make that very clear. I meant the initial documentary about Katie Piper. It focussed a lot on how she was attacked, the court case and the early stages of her treatment. This series seems to deal more with the long term effects of living with the aftermath of burns on a day to day basis.
