Going to north west coast of france for 3 weeks in June to the Brittany region. Have a few questions Im hoping people can help me with.

    1) recommend any family things to do around carnac & st jean de mont?
    2) how's the weather there early june?
    4) Regarding driving, is it easy enough - reading signs etc?
    Thanks

Carnac is lovely, lots of beaches for kids, sailing and surfing lessons etc and if you are interested in the megalithic stones there is a good interpretative centre. It is quite touristic but in a good way! I don't know st jean de monts but the vendee coast is more touristic than Brittany.

Weather in Vendee is usually warmer/sunnier than Brittany which is a bit hit and miss but generally warmer than here.

Driving is quite straightforward as the signposting is better than here. Sat Nav makes it easier still or make sure you have a good uptodate roadmap (road numbers were changed in recent years in France making it confusing if you have an old roadmap). Remember you will pay tolls on the road to the Vendee but its not a huge amount (there are booths where you can pay cash). There are no tolls on the Brittany roads.

Hi - i spent a couple of summers with family in St Jean de Monts - plenty to do
    1. lots of cycle paths through the woods
    2. fantastic beach
    3. Safari park
    4. some open farms for the kids
    5. lots of wind surfing and kite fishing
    6. Ile Normentier is worth a visit

Weather can be mixed in early June - expect some showers/overcast days while there and plan accordingly.

Driving is very easy - signposts are excellent - never got lost there.

    Enjoy
