Wonder if anyone can help me. Got my first form 11 in the post last week and have been filling it in bit by bit. Im a registered childminder and I only began in July. I have a tax exemption. (no tax for 15,000, which I qualify for). This part is grand, I have all relevant parts filled in. Childminding Ireland have a good guide on how to fill it in. I was on maternity benefit up until February 2010 which is non taxable, and recieved jobseekers benefit then until July. I was then changed on to the short term enterprise allowance from July onwards, which falls under the back to work enterprise scheme- also non taxable. Just seen online that jobseekers benefit is taxable?? Freaking out a bit as didnt think Id have any tax to return at all for last year. Anyone know anything about this? Confused as never thought it was taxable. Bit clueless, and maybe Im wrong, anyone any info?
