    Hi there

Anyone any thoughts on flying Malaysian Airlines?
Hoping to go to NZ this year and Malaysian seem to be the cheapest and quickest route.

    Are they ok?

I've used MA for a LHR to Kuala Lumpur roundtrip and I found them to be quite good overall.

The best features were undoubtedly the legroom in economy (34", which is about as good as it gets in cattle class) and the friendly service from the cabin crew (who also regularly passed through the cabin with water/orange juice, which is a godsend on 12 hour flights!!!).
The in-flight entertainment (AVOD) is not quite as good as some competitors, but there was still a decent selection of movies/TV shows.
Food was a bit hit and miss, but unless you're picky, it shouldn't be a problem.
    Punctuality was good also.

I'd fly with them again based on their service levels, although, ironically given your own situation, I found them to be a bit expensive on the LHR-KL route lately and have looked elsewhere for my next KL trip.

Thanks a mill for that. I've looked at Trip Advisor too and most people seem to think they are good.:)

Take a look at www.airlineequality.com too. It's a site that allows passengers to post reviews.
