Hey, I am a BCL graduate considering going to Australia on a 1 year working visa. While I'm there I would like to gain some more legal experience so when i come back ill be in a better position to gain employment. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible for Irish law graduates to gain work ie. as a legal assistant, court clerk, legal support roles over there? it is my understanding that Irish law degrees are recognised there...

One person I know did manage to do it. I don't know exactly what the job title was but it was along the lines of legal assistant.

I don't have personal experience of trying to find a legal job in Australia, but it is quite competitive I understand. This is due to oversupply of law graduates all wanting work experience.
