Going car shopping soon, think my initial van idea may be laying mortally wounded. I'm not a knowledgeable person regarding cars, turn it on it goes kinda thing :D Looking for a bit of help from you good people :) So, here's the situation:

Budget €4k possibly stretch to €4.5k.
    Absolutely needs to be reliable.
The more fuel efficient the better.
    4 doors.
    Saloon or hatchback.
    1.5l and above (sensibly).
    2004+
    Lower mileage

Did see a nice looking Renault Megane online, 1.4, €4k, 25k miles, 05. But read a comment on this forum that Renaults may not be the bestest cars ever made :pac:

Mostly for getting me to the farm and back, around the area, regular 100 round trips and semi regular jaunts to the other side of the country.
Will be used the very odd time for a bit of towing.

    What's the car for me?

Thanks in advance, all questions appreciated :)

    JG
