    I'd guess (and it is a guess :o) maybe skinny jeans, casual top and a blazer with nice heels or dressy flats?

    Yeah I would go with something like the above. Maybe something like this if you dont like skinnies?

    OP could you give any more details on the event? For daytime events I usually keep it simple, a shirt dress with pumps, Someone posted a gorgeous playsuit in the latest purchases thread which would look great with heels. High waisted shorts and a cute vest or a summer dress. You can make it more glam with a statement necklace/ring.

    Can you give us a little more detail on the event?

    If I was to play it safe (without knowing more detail) then I would avoid jeans, shorts or playsuits. Stick to dresses, skirts and pants (but make them fashionable).
