No it will probably need a new switch, I doubt they are that dear, you may even get one 2nd hand.

Just plug out the switch, if the reversing lights go off you are safe enough that you have found your problem

I'd say the wiring loom could also be damaged, usually a damaged reverse switch will not cause the lights to stay on but its a possibility. Are you saying the boot won't open when you use the fob or button in the car? Does it open when you put the key in it?

boot problem solved thanks. must be the switch on reversing lights i think they will go off if i jiggle the gear lever
