    Hey all :D,
I'm quite new to the whole mod your own gun thing and I have an issue I would like some feedback on if possible.

I have just put a tight bore barrel into my AEG but I think the hop up is not not working with it and I want to swap it out for a better one. The thing is that the one in the gun is a split hop up and all I can find is all in one units online.

Now the thing is, the feeder for this split one is just screwed into the body of the gun and can be removed. If I removed this and bought an all in one unit would it work the same way or would I be better tracking down another piece like I have?

You have two options, you may have reassembled the hop unit wrong, you can try taking it apart and doing it again, it should work fine really... (did you have all the parts in it?)
Second, yes, you can swap it for an all in one unit, but you 'may' have to cut out a bit of the area where the two part sat to fit a 1 piece unit. Not hard, and deffinatly an improvement (One piece has better air seal).
Tbh I'd first recomend reassembling the unit you have, it should work fine, the tightbore should operate with it the same way as your original barrel.
