Keep it topped up, nothing to really worry about , they all do it. Your friend could get the piston rings changed to solve it if he could be bothered.

Yes they generally do burn a little bit of oil between services especially if driven hard. Just keep an eye on the oil and keep it topped up if needs be. You will get some that are exceptions to this and that dont burn any oil but I wouldn't take the risk of not regularly checking unless your friend fancies shelling out for a new engine! Better safe than sorry and all that!

As for petrol they are fairly light on it but it all depends on the type of driving involved. A full tank should bring you anywhere between 450 to 550-600kms depending on whether its mostly city driving or motorway driving or how much "spirited" driving is done.

Known for burning a bit alright, but nothing to worry about; the problem lies when people don't check the level regularly as the sump on a levin is notoriously small.

Also as far as i know their ok on petrol, not great but ok. He will still notice some difference coming from a diesel though.

How much driving has he done in it?!! Compared to a diesel its naturally going to seem thirsty but compared to other petrol cars it should be alright unless theres something wrong with it. Remember theres only a 45 litre tank in them aswell so it might just have the illusion of using more petrol than it is.
