Friedrich Grohe shower faucet

I have a Friedrich Grohe shower faucet which has luke warm water at high hot setting. The shower is run off a pressurised system. Someone suggested that there is grit lodged between the plates causing too much cold water to enter. Any suggestions on how to disassemlbe this and clean it out?
