    Hi all,

I'd like to take a chance to share with you some current opportunities we are about to release in the UK. I'll try and give you as much info as possible to let you what the company is about and what the jobs involve.

    The Company
    http://www.blackbay.com/

Blackbay is an intresting company to be involved with, Primarly based in NZ, they have been in mobility technologies for over 16 years now and have carved their niche in the postal sector where they count clients such as Austrailia Post and Royal mail. They basically provide a software solution for delivery based on ruggedised mobile devices such as the Intermec CN3. In Ireland they count DPD Interlink as a customer. The software is pretty cool in that it has to be mobile based backed up with server infrastucture interfacing in to our clients larger systems.

They also do field service software with clients such as Dyson and UPC again based on the same mobile infrastructure.

The cool thing about the company is they have been growing throughout the recession with a positive outlook to the future.

It's a primarily Microsoft environment with an outlook to branching out on to other platforms as time goes on.

    The Positions:
    Customer Support Engineer
This is the position I began in, and although considered an entry level position, it's also a position where you can never be technical enough. This is probably the reason that to date this has been one of my favorite jobs. You need to be able to work across all levels of Infrastructure from the Devices to Back-end. For me personally in my short time at the company I have become advanced in SQL and MS SQL Server, as well as re-enforcing my networking and infrastructure administration skills. This is a great chance for someone who wants to be exposed to high volume transactional databases as well as have a chance to advance towards Maintenance DBA. Other areas of experience involve exposure to logistical business systems and processes, MS Server infrastructure, C#, and client interface systems.

Ideally you'll have career advancement opportunities after a year or so. This position would suit from Graduate level to a few years experience in a 1st/2nd level technical support environment.

    Service Delivery Manager
I can't quite give as much detail on this vacancy, but you will be working closely across all departments within the company providing high level management to our customers and their Projects. Frankly, if you know what an SDM is and are interested, then there's probably not much I can say that you don't already know. I will say this however, this will be a good opportunity to work with the higher levels of management in an international company that's growing fast as well as working with companies as large as CSC.

If your interested, please either apply via the website or PM me with your email and I'll forward it to my manager. It's also worth checking Blackbay out on LinkedIn to get a better feel for the company and it's people.

    Cheers and good hunting.
