No Hot Water....?

    Lads,
    Someone PLEASE help me. 2 weeks ago we were not able to get the downstairs heating working in the house (upstairs was fine) narrowed it down to a faulty Myson power extra valve and replaced that myself (the electrical part only) and happy days that fixed the heating and all the rads work perfectly now...BUT... since then we cant get the system to heat the water at all. The boiler is a Potterton SYSTEM?? and that seems to be working fine im assuming because I have hot rads (rads are scalding mind you)

    Anyone any ideas how I can get hot water back? 2 very young kids need baths and I am getting sick of turning the immersion on..
    :confused::confused:

    Hi, there is a myson numbered valve half way down the cylinder and that's at 5.5 out of a possible 6

    Did you touch any of the pipework or its valves ???

    Is it possible when you replaced the faulty actuator you inadvertently dislodged the wiring for the cylinder zone valve? Retrace your steps and have a look at the wiring. Also check the cylinder thermostat and see if it has been turned off by accident.

    Thanks for the replies lads. I don recall touching anything. Would the thermostat be the myson valve connected to the cylinder?
    Anything else it could be?
