I need to replace 2 tyres - 215/55/17 and the average price I am quoted from local suppliers is 120 euro.

I found this place on-line http://www.eiretyres.com/ I can get tyres from them for about 64 euro which they say includes VAT and delivery in Ireland and I was wondering if anyone has bought tyres from them.

I really just want to know if they are kosher.

Try blackcircles or camskills. I shop around every time and I got some hankook's in the same size a few weeks ago from camskills for about 70 each.

I've bought a set of tyres from them a few years back. No traumas doing so. Delivery was to the door by courier in two days.

you still have to get them fitted and balanced you local guy is including that in the price im sure, there is a lot of cheap chinese crap out there you would be better off with mid priced tyres say if bridgestones were 150 then spend 100 on say hankook not 60 euro on crap they could be fine but if they are not and blowout on the motorway after a year or so .....

I got a set of winters off them, great prices at the time.

are another online dealer.
TBH for lots of tyres a good local fitter will be within 10 per corner in my experience. Especially the guys that work out of an old shed somewhere and have low overheads.:D

Compare similar prices with here: www.camskill.co.uk. They usually are cheaper than www.eiretryes.com and delivery is quicker. I've bought tyres from both in the past with no issues.

Take into account though that if you buy online you still have to factor in the price of having them fitted/balanced and the old tyres disposed of. You are probably talking about an extra €60 depending on who you find to fit them. Ring around the various tyres centres for their prices, alot of them can come close or match the prices online.
