When do dead people stop being late?

Liz Taylor died the other day and people refer to her as The Late Liz Taylor.

But nobody calls Napoleon (for example) The Late Napoleon Bonaparte anymore.

So when did he stop being late? Whats the cut off point?

How long will I have to be dead before folk stop calling me The Late Lapin.

The Late Late Show is still called The Late Late Show even though it's 2011 and no-one considers 11pm as late anymore.

It wasn't even late years ago. And the double emphasis on late always pissed me off.
