I was looking at a Ruger 25.06 in walnut stock s/h this evening. Doesnt have a clip so loads from the side and ejects underneath. What are these rifles like compared to a Tikka t3 or a Remington 700? Already have a S&B 8x56 to go on top and a Northstar mod. I reckon I would have a good set-up for foxing and deer. Anyone…

No experience of the ruger but have a t3 lite in 25-06, cracking rifle, i use 85 grain ballistic reloads, the damage is unreal for foxes, i zero mine for 200 which means its approx 5 inches low at 300 its very flat shooting.

Cant recomend the calibre enough.
