Is it me or has the standard of ads on TV gotten progressively worse for the most part over the years especially in Ireland, jaysus i cringe when i see some of the ads on, that One Direct Pat Shortt is cringeworthy to the max and it's forever on,that ad 123.ie is equally as bad as is that Lucy Kennedy the big switch and that dreadful annoying Gillette Fusion ad amongst others are all dreadfully annoying and instead of making me buy the product i wont be going anywhere near them actually, there are still some good ads about the likes of Guinness always come out with good ads and some others but in general the ads on TV thesedays compared to yesteryear are terrible.

    sorry rant over ;)

In the Wi ad Jamie, Louise and Charley Rednapp sit on the sofa but to the left of Louise there is a strange looking bloke with a beard who the hell is he?

I don't think i have seen that particular one, in general though most ads on TV are cringeworthy esp in Ireland.

I want to put my foot through the t.v when those Go Compare ads come on and totally agree about Lucy Kennedy. Infuriating

How annoying is the new Eurospar ad where the family get into their car to drive across the street to the shop! You would think they would want to save petrol considering how expensive it now is :D

The ad that gets me is the one for the electric Detol soap dispenser. They justify this piece of total frippery as being necessay to stop 'germs' from the soap dispenser getting onto your hands before you wash them in their antiseptic soap.

What it does not explain - how do you turn on the tap? Surely, the tap is covered in 'germs'. And then, how do you turn it off again, now you have 'germ free' hands?

    Daft.

    The laser eye surgery ads!!!
Have to be the most aggravating ads ever....although I'd love to punch Jim from Eircom in the face.

The directline ads on the english channels are really annoying, have to turn the sound down before i throw something at the telly. And the ativia yogurt ones with ya one that use to be in Eastenders.

But the track is brilliant, i dont even register the ad itself, just the track,

Pat Short on 123.ie is hilarious. The No Nonsense ad is absolutely brilliant as well. Ads for banks are my most annoying ones at the minute.

Those Cost Plus Sofa adds are brutal and very annoying. I wonder why they are never on RTE.

I think you should bear in mind that commercials/adverts are aimed at the expected audience.:)

So if you get annoyed at adverts shown, it is probably because you are not the targeted audience.

noticed this the first time it was on air..

the product does nothing, dirty hands turn on tap, clean hands get dirty turning taps off..

I used to like Pat Short until his stupidly annoying "do be do be do ad". Was funny the first time but after about 2 year of every ad brake every evening it's grating on the nerves!!!
