Have used Montbeliarde and Norwegian Red and am happy with both. This year I am milking some Norwegian Red heifers whose mothers were Montbeliarde and grandmothers were Holstein. Used AA on them as heifers but unsure of what bull to use now ??? Ideas welcome. Thanks:confused:

Goldwyn if you can get him:D

What do you think they need, more milk? Better udders? Better legs? More solids?etc. Try and pick a bull to improve the next generation works best in pedigree breeding so should also apply in crossbreeding

Post up pictures, interested to see them.

Absolutely hate Montbeliarde , we will never use them again (although they make good money in the factory)

Have a few Norweigan Red heifers in this year, nice heifers so far

are you just crossbreeding for the sake of it or have you an ideal cow that you want , improved milk solids, improved fertility, when i read this post i can't get a jist of where you're going.

As bogman bass said, back to black and white. This will keep your hybrid vigor going at maximum for a 3 way cross. Or a jersey, if size isnt an issue, to max out your hybrid vigor
