    Yes there is a car park there, although I have never used it, I saw people having picnics there last summer..

    You'd be better off driving up to the avon ri and parking there, then going cycling

    I never think to use streetview... :o

    I'm fairly sure there was newer construction to what those photos show though. Maybe that was a bit further back though

    You can park there for free and it's in a better location

    The carpark that you're locating on the map is the rowing club car park. It is a car park but not open all of the time. If you really want to park in that area you can always turn right when you come over the bridge and park in on the right hand side. Its a wider section of road and some people park there to go fishing.

    I can tell you a few other areas if you like around the lakes.

    Just left it in the rowing car park. I asked on of the guy there towing a load of boats and he said it'd be fine. The signs also state its a public carpark open until 8/9pm

    I noticed that area of road also once I set off on the bike.

    If you're going out on a bike then what you can do is park in the village and start out from there. Many do that.
