The National Association of Sporting Rifle & Pistol Clubs will hold a
    Benchrest Rifle (Rimfire) Postal League

    from May to September 2011.

Fermoy Rifle Club have run a very successful Postal League over the winter months for a number of years now and NASRPC has decided to run one during the Summer to provide people with continued competition.

A Postal League provides people with an opportunity to shoot the competition when and where suits them.
With the range of disciplines there is something to suit all rifles.

If you would like to take part in this league then please drop a line to benchrestrifle@nasrpc.ie to register your interest.

NASRPC will supply 50m Benchrest Targets, one for each month, per competitor.
We will deliver targets for all members of a particular club, to that club, in order to cut down on costs.

It is recommended that the members of a particular club submit their results as a group as this will cut down on postage costs but more importantly help ensure all targets are submitted on time.

The league is open to all competitors
    .

    Submitting Results
Once registered, a postal address will be provided for submission of targets to each club/competitor.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each discipline.

    3. All shooting must be done on a certified range
    4. You must be RO'd by a club authorised RO.
    5. Club authorised RO must sign & date targets.
    6. Targets MUST NOT be gauged prior to submission.

    8. Targets must be recieved before midnight on the 5th of each month - late entries will count as zero.
    9. Entrants may shoot their card at NASRPC National Events - but must make this clear to stats so targets will not be gauged
    10. In the event of a query regarding qualification for a particular discipline, the competitors club may be asked to validate the firearm weight, scope magnification and trigger weight and the results be submitted along with the target shot.

    Notes:
International Sporter Class requires that the overal weight of the rifle, including scope, and bipod if attached, be no more than 8.5lbs.
It also requires that the maximum magnification allowed if 6.5x - if your scope is capable of higher you must get the RO to validate that it has been set to 6.5x.
There may be no attachments to the barrel so that means a silencer may not be attached while shooting your cards.

We have had a few requests to defer the start of the Benchrest Rifle Postal league by one month in order to allow more people to participate.

We have also had a request to extend an invitation to competitors from the UK to take part - which we believe to be a good idea as many Irish Competitors have been competing in the UKBR22 Postal Leagues over the winter.

Therefore we are deferring the start of the league until May 5th
with first targets now due by June 5th
and last targets due by October 5th.

If you have any questions or would like to participate in one of the three leagues then send an email to benchrestrifle@nasrpc.ie.
