    Matthew Stevens resurgence in snooker continues after his win in last night championship league.
    The league is run over a short format and the winner gains a spot in the lucrative Premier League which is live on Sky Sports throughout the Autumn.

    Marco Fu won the same event last season and enjoyed a decent run in tbe league.

    Stevens beat Shaun Murphy in the final last night and with a good run here in China who knows what damage he could do in Sheffield next month.

    One thing is for sure no one would begrudge Stevens his win or his recent climb back up the rankings, he's one of the nicest lads on the circuit and has been for many years.

    Great to see him back where he belongs.
