This piece of automotive art is now regularly seen on the streets of Limerick. Wasn't there a thread about it last year when it was for sale?
I tried a search but couldn't find it.
Anyway it is now owned and (proudly) driven by an ex nightclub owner.
He has(had) a few classics pn the go, but his daily drivers seem to be this and a Renault Avantime.

Think the one on here may have been a different car. Who buys such ugly cars!

i'd buy it, BECAUSE it's ugly and weird, you'd feel like a comic book gangster driving around in that it'd be hilarious

There was a dealer that opened around Bray/Greystones for a short while which specialised mainly in Japanese obscurities. This car was for sale with them for a short while and it is based on a Nissan 300ZX if my memory serves me right.

They are still making cars....the latest include MX-5 morgan, Corolla Daimler and an update Limerick car built on the Mustang.......

I don't know what the hell that piece of sh1t is, but it is not a Mitsuoka Viewt. That's even worse:

    A Nissan 300ZX with a 650cc engine?
Also how come this car qualifies to use classic style black plates?

It doesn't qualify for black plates...

But they do help the vehicle to blend in with other cars:rolleyes:

I think this is what it is

    http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z5873/Mitsuoka-Le-Seyde-A-type-20.aspx

So if you get a really obscure car imported can you lie about name and engine size to reduce your tax?

Pretty sure that's what it said in the advert at the time. Actually, now that I think of it, it might have been a Silvia.

    I can't explain why it's registered as a Mitsuoka Viewt with a 650cc engine.

I can't either, but maybe an eager Garda reads this forum :D

The current owner is definitely not short of €€€€'s.
I would imagine he bought this simply because he liked the idea of driving it around.
Whether it was registered as a 650cc or 3500cc V8 wouldn't make much of a difference....
Next time I'm passing I will have a look at the tax disc just to confirm what it's registered as.

A set of wire wheels and a chrome cat later and you could turn up at a Jaguar Owners Meet ! :D

I like those Micra based things in an odd type of way! That said, I still wouldn't buy one. I'm probably the only one! :D

Its built on a Nissan 200 SX or 240 ZX but not a 300 ZX. Anyway the last of them was built about 5 years ago.....and the right name for the car is Mitsuoka LeSeyde..
