Dentist in <snip> or <snip>

My molar tooth had a crown and cracked underneath it. Dentist abroad removed the crown and said the extraction is now the only option. I don't want to loose the tooth if it can be repaired, and I know some clinics offer small surgical procedures to repare cracks below the gum line or other options besides implants.

Quick look at Dublin clinics online showed <snip> and <snip> as possbile candidates for the procedure, but perhaps people who had been to those clinics can share their personal experiences or had similar complex problems done elsewhere in Dublin?

    Many thanks!!

A root perforation (a hole) can be repaired, but a crack can't be fixed. Whether or not the tooth can be saved depends on how extensive the crack is. Have you had root canal treatment on the tooth? Is it painful?

anyone who says they can repair a crack is just delaying the inevitable. if it's going below the gum and between the roots then you could go down the line of separating the roots fully, removing one part, and putting a small crown on the part that remains. it's pretty extensive and probably more expensive than implants anyway.

why did you pick those two places though, what is it on their sites that caught your eye? there are plenty of places in south dublin that i'd pick before them.

No clinic names or discussion of clinics allowed. Please read the forum charter. I'll leave this open for discussion about cracked tooth syndrome and possible repair.

I suggest you ask a general dentist for a referral rather to a specialist, neither of the clinics you named are owned by dentists with specialist training,. A dentist who specialises in fixing cracks, root canals and perforations is called an endodontist, they will be best able to tell you if the tooth is restorable.
