How about Cascais in Portugal? A 20 minute train ride to Lisbon and lovely semi quiet beaches nice little shopping place too:)

Oops - Forgot about hotel recomendation we stayed at the 'Vila Gale Cascais Hotel.' Has a pool and food is great - especially the breakfast - think champange with orange juice and even a fry up if you want;:)

if i was planning a honeymoon I'd look at an interrail ticket. Go anywhere stay as long as you like, cities beaches resorts, do it all. 4 weeks too.
