Can someone explain what the term "relative strength" means?? I have lost 40 pounds since Jan 1st but my figures on bench, squats and deads have improved steadily...does the term relative strength apply here? Seen it in a magazine and just wondering.

    Amount lifted relative to bodyweight.

Your relative strength has increased significantly because you've only started training.
