It seems as though mapped drives cannot be made and the SMB support is based on "auto browsing", not so good for hidden shares or convenience.

Will stick with my Acer Revo 3600, its more expensive, but way more functionality.

Haha. I spotted this deal as well, and was going to post here asking about it. Great minds...

Anyway, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Media Centres, so not sure whether this is a great/good/okay/poor deal really. Price seems decent, but to be honest I'm guessing.

I don't see any mention of hard drive capacity. So do you have to stream everything from a PC or even the internet? Is this not a limitation? Or is it the norm?
