Looking to start a airsofter career in Dublin

    Hello everybody,

first off let me say sorry for starting a thread over this, but I'm not quite sure how to start making real progress.

I came to Ireland around 6 months ago and I've been itching to start playing airsoft with you guys for quite a while now. Problem is, I don't have a car and I don't know anyone in Dublin so it's a tough task for me.
I live in Finglas, Dublin. Are there any players or teams in the area? If so would anyone mind giving me a lift to a game site if there going?
I really wan't to start getting to know the Irish airsoft community and actively participate in games ASAP.

I've been a hardcore airsofter for almost 6 years now, and would love to continue playing now in Ireland.

Again, sorry if I posted in the wrong place or if there is already a similar thread in the forum.

    Sig.

Your first port of call should be the teams thread: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055221876&page=16
Check to see who is currently recruiting, etc.

Second thing to do is to find out what sites are closest site to you and post there to see if anyone can give you a lift, see here:

Start posting on these threads, you will find a team and/or lift, we are generally a pretty social bunch :D

I thanked your post in approval of what looks to be a 100% BADASS loadout.

I'm sure you'll get about 20 pm's from teams simply based on the fact you look like the ****, regardless of what you play like haha :D

LOL! Thanks lads. I'm afraid most of what's in the photo has been left behind before coming here. I still have the pants and balaclava though :D Rest a sured I don't have a "cheap" taste for airsoft equipment and will do my best not to disgrace the team and community. I will not look like this on my 1st game here, but will start buying equipment once i get my feet wet :)
I threw in the picture to show that I'm serious about the hobby, glad you like it. Cheers.

Dude - personally I'd recommend sticking a note up on some of the site threads here. I know the lads in HRTA are usually a good bunch to get to meet new people (and it's a good site too) - and depending on who's going you might be able to get a lift over. I head up there on occasion (i.e. when I'm not stuck in the airsoft vacuum that is Switzerland) - I can certainly give you a lift up when I'm back and you could meet some of the lads up there (maybe even wrangle a regular lift)...

I live just down the road from you in Ballymun, I play in the HRTA every second weekend or so, more than welcome if you need a lift up :D.
