Rattle box blues

The old E36 trusty has, as any old car, its "quirks" and noises.
For instance the wind noise through closed windows at motorway speed is quite noticeable which is a bit of a pain as I like my cars silent inside (the previous s40 was great in that respect).
Fan blower chirps sometimes, the glove box rattles a bit and also the steering wheel squeaks sometimes when turning - all classic E36 noises.
No matter how much lubricant I spray on the window mechanism it still is noisy.

Usually the best remedy is to turn the music up higher but even then, sometimes it's just nice to drive in total silence, you know?

    How about your car?

I have the stereo on 99% of the time, but do enjoy turning it off for a few minutes a week and just rolling along in silence. Car doesn't really make any noises, but I like the soft soothing noise the power steering makes when the wheels are fully locked. :D
