Door handle

    Hey guys, just put a replacement door handle on the car. Have got the matching paint, Simoniz clear lacquer and simonz spray paint. Any suggestions on the was to spray the handle and then on touching up scrathes.

    You might be better to paint it off the car. You need to score the old paint work with some abrasive material to allow the new coat to bed-in, then when you're spraying your coats of paint do them in very thin layers allowing each layer to dry off before applying the next coat. I'm not sure if you need to use the lacquer, I think if its a pearlescent paint it doesn't need a lacquer coat, but im not sure about that, so double check with someone else.

    You're going to need Lacquer. When you're scouring the surface of the existing paint, don't use heavy grade sandpaper. Something like 1200 wet and dry is enough. I actually only did one yesterday on an 2010 Avensis.
