Just saw this on the front of today's Metro:

    www.superherofunrun.ie

Looks like it might be good craic; and all for a good cause too. Plus - there's an attempt to break the world record for the most people dressed as super heros in one place.

    Anyone else doing it?

It may well be a worthy cause but "Pre-registration is required. €150/ family, €100/individual including a €25 registration fee."

    Is that a record?

"...With this you gain free entry to the park and you can stay in the park for the rest of the day at your leisure..." - Gee thanks!

Saw this by chance last year. Seemed a bit crap to be honest, they just did a few laps of the football pitches. A couple of people zoomed off ahead but it didn't seem to be much of a race.

I did think the whole thing about gaining free entry to the park etc. sounded a bit off... The only place I'm aware of in the park that you have to pay in is the zoo!

Also, the entry fee and required fundraising amount is a little off-putting. With regards to it being a competitive race, I wasn't worries about that as it's advertised more as a fun run than anything. I was just thinking it would be good craic!

seems like a rip-off to me at €100 entry fee even if it is for charity plus add the fact of buying a costume(€50-100 approx) and there looking to beat the Guinness book of records for having the most runners dressed as superheroes in a race
