any idea if the 2011 AEOS is going to open, no mention of it since the new Govt have stepped in,

I think I'll delay selling my ewe lambs this year as long as I can. If they're not willing to pay last years money last year, I've no confidence they'll pay this years money this year. The question presents itself, have they got the money to pay it at all? If not, that must be a breach of the contract

Yesterday's Farming Indo had a small article about it - but it just said that the IFA were putting pressure on the GOV to open the scheme for the 10,000 farmers out of REPS in 2011. If they don't have the money to pay for last year, I doubt they will open it up for 10,000 more farmers.

Seen that Reilig on the Indo, will see if there is anyting on the journal tomorrow, information is limited the past few weeks which is worrying, just hoping Coveney is feeling the pressure to introduce it considering FF had promised it and claimed it going to be open for applications mid march. Easy for FF I know considering they were leaving office. I believe the farming community have a strong lobby again, the last thing the Govt want to do is have the agricultural community on their back, considering it is a a growth sector. :o:o I'm worried but hoping it opens, I really am relying on it opening and getting into it, bad way to be relying on our Govt to introduce policies that are beneficial to oneself, but unfortunately thats where I find myself presently!

Hi Panadol. How ya mean it was only going to be 1500? I thought the max was 5000 and the planners are writing up plans to get the max from that.

The first "year" isn't a full year, that's where the 1500 comes from.
