    Dundalk v Cliftonville
    Rovers v the bitters/Portadown

Try get the draw the right way round, you have both matches as if Dundalk and Rovers are at home in the first leg ,where in fact their both away in the first legs.

Great thread so far anyway lads!

Anyway, c'mon Portadown and Climville, would absolutely love a Rovers v C'ville final up there, would take a bit of miracle though i reckon.

Dundalk are in the Semis...Sligo aren't...yet!

Sligos odds will come down if they beat Portadown.

Because Dundalk have a better chance of winning it maybe??

OhNoYouDidn't - Referring to a club by silly little jibes like 'the bitters' is not allowed. Don't do it again. This is your one and only warning.

Everyone else don't get drawn into discussion about it - report it.

More magic from Mark Quigley this evening for Dundalk in their 3-1 victory up in Solitude. Wasn't at the match but apparently his two goals were absolute belters. He's really hit the ground running for us. Looks like we're gonna be in the final anyway.

Is there ever going to be a North-South final in this thing?

There's been 3, most notably the first Final between ourselves and Linfield.

Aye, but it just seems like the gulf has been a lot higher in the last few years.

If anything you'd think that the gulf would lessen but I think the Northern clubs have all but given up on it. On the Portadown forum they were treating the game as an afterthought all hoping their players wouldn't get injured for a cup final they were playing at the weekend - which they lost incidentally

I don't know what the league and cup prize money is in the North but 50k is well worth playing for here. It's half of what's ion offer now for the league and the same as the FAI cup.

The Portadown players weren't too confident either, my mate knows a few of them and they didn't expect to win at all. PaddyPower got raped supposedly on Sligo to win and Sligo -1.

    Bigtime.

Dundalk are a top four side at best and have beaten three of the top four Northern sides away from home. The standard up there is rubbish.

Is the away goal rule in effect for the Setanta cup?
