    Heads up! These letters are circulating again. Do not get caught out - do not let your receptionist etc get caught out.

    It's a simple form asking you to confirm business details. The wording is kind of deceptive, like they're doing something nice for you, but if you read the text at the bottom you notice it says it costs 997 Euros to be added to the directory! Not only that, it says you must apply in writing to NOT be included 3 months before the end of next year, otherwise they will assume you want to be in there every year at 997 Euros.

    I worked the directory business - legit type of one! Theses scams were the curse of our business (well, one of them anyway) as they brought the whole industry down.

    Signing it and sending it back - you will be liable as you have entered a contract (and as far as I am aware there is no cooling off at the moment for this business)
    Ed: you can cancel; within 10 day via fax and/or ordinary mail.

    And this bit:

    Tell them to fcuk themselves if they try to enforce that, no legal basis for 'not replying' to enforce a contract.
