Anyone have any suggestions? I am open anything at the moment, anythign mad or crazy or even something small and memorable..

    All suggestions welcome

You could have a performance (dance or song) by family members/ kids.
Or you could collect photos from over the years and have them projected on a wall through the party.

Thanks, yeah we are thinking about the photo projection alright, it is just very difficult to get a hold of older pics from her childhood...

Photos are always a great idea, I got my mother's cine films turned into dvd for her 60th. She seemed really touched by it. Would there be any old cine reels in your house?

A bit of Karaoke could be a laugh if there is plenty of people up for a laugh.

Also if there is any friends or relatives who could come from abroad (unexpectedly), would make for a good surprise.
