Secondary school reunion...

Went to mine 4 years ago, the event was full of bravado and optimism, me included. A high-5 orgy. Everyone was a high-flyer.

We all agreed to meet every 5 years thereafter ....I'm supposed to organise the next...I can't wait.

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

I like to go to 50th school reunions and pretend to be someone else, just to fuck with their heads.

I see most of my secondary school friends when I go home. So it wouldn't be much of a surprise. There's also a bunch of gowls I hope I never run into again. Unless it's with my car.

at that stage they would need people at the door reminding you all of who you are, and re-directing you from the town hall back to the school

I dont think I'd go. I didn't like any of them when I was in school with them, I doubt it has changed.

Most of the people in my school were awful b!tches, and those that were ok turned into b!tches when they went to college. No desire to meet those people again.

*I'm only a mediocre b!tch myself; I wouldn't be able to compete at their level.

Wouldn't go near a reunion with the lads I went to secondary school with in a fit, most of them reckoned anyone living in a corporation house or who didn't want to go to UCC was a scumbag  A right shower of f**king knobends loads of them were.

    Actually.......

what school did you go to ?

There should have been a ten-year one last year. I wasn't aware of one. Don't see anyone from school anyhow, so I couldn't really be arsed "catching up". The only people from school I'd want to see are one or two guys I then went to college with.

Oddly enough my wife is in constant contact with her school friends and they didn't have a ten-year reunion last year either...

facebook is like a constant school reunion..and i fooking hate facebook

I reckon due to the fact lots of them may be on the scratch and being bailed out by their folks would make the old reunion not so appealling for many of them now.

Mines in May, Gonna pop in just to see the group of lads from school. Probably only see half of them now, nice to catch up. Last time i seen them all was at a wedding about 4 years ago.

There is a reason why i have not seeing them in 10 years. Because i dont want to see them!

Some fella I went to school with added me on facebook and I saw that loads of his FB friends are people i went to school with. I just couldnt be arsed added them though, whats the point really?

Anyone from school that wasnt a pr1ck I'm still friends with and see now and again anyway.

There's a reason I haven't been in contact with the rest.

There was a lot of c*nts and scumbags in my year in school.

I've been to a few unofficial school reunions & if nothing else it was a bit of a laugh. Got on with most people I went to school with so that was good. Just amazed at how changed some people are in attitude and how unchanged others are after 7 years.

That said there are some people I wouldn't mind not seeing again. My life hasn't suffered from them not being in it for the last 7 years so don't think it'll suffer in the future for it.

Mine was on last year and I didnt go,€110 or something like that to pay to go back to the school for one night!? If that got me a bucket of eggs I might have...

Actually just checked about mine and it appears that the past pupils' union does a dinner every year for those with 5/10 year anniversaries. Looked at last year's photos, recognised nobody. Appears to be mostly old men and the rugby heads meeting up so they can fondle eachother like they used to do on the pitch.

There also appear to be a couple of gob****e priests and teachers there who I'm fairly sure I would have little in common with conversation-wise.

Left school 19 years ago(feck i feel old). Never have met any of them since(half probably emigrated), wouldn't want to meet most of them anyway bar a few who treated you with respect. School days are said to be the best days of your life but some kids can be very cruel to other kids at school.

Same here. Some of them were insufferable when I had to go to school. I couldn't see myself wanting to spend my free time with them.

I'd go if I ever made a success of myself, but just to give them all the perverbial finger

One stuck up little pr1ck thought it great crack when the the place my Dad worked in was facing closure, he made a few I hope ye enjoy Christmas it might be the last one digs for no apparent reason. He was a skinny little rat so there was no point hitting him. I was quite bothered about it, he was a very intelligent chap but a nasty bastard. I spent the next year terrorising him, mocking him because he was skinny, telling him his clothes were too big hand me downs (he had older brothers). Fight fire with fire, I went a bit too far in some folks' eyes but I wasn't bothered.
