Has anybody received any pay for this yet?

I heard that a payment is being made this week. I'm not really sure of my status as I am a dip student and never officially signed up to any scheme, just was timetabled to cover supervision at a set period every week. I dont really want to go asking for money as I have no idea if I'm entitled to it but I'm just wondering is it around this time of year that the payment is made?

As far as i know the payment is meant to be in this weeks wages...although its been getting later and later every year. If you didnt officially sign up though its possible you wont get your money until the July payment, that happened to one of my friends last year.

Thanks. Did you have to sign a form or something agreeing to the scheme?

Yeah, I have been part of the scheme since it began a few years ago. Ebvery year the secretary gets us to sign a form saying that we have completed X amount of hours (whatever the normal maximun is with 90mins per week).
My friend that didnt get paid last year until the July payment had not been part of the scheme before so the school forgot to include he for the first payment, however she got paid both together in teh summer.

I was paid this in February.
There is a possibility that because you are doing the dip, you are giving "freebies" when it comes to supervising/subbing. Especially since you haven't signed anything.
I was in the same boat when I did my dip many moons ago.
Maybe ask your co-operating teacher or the secretary. :)

And we got HAMMERED with tax. It's hardly worth it now. 200 odd quid? I think management will struggle to get enough teachers to do it now.

Is this not the last year of the scheme anyway?

I got no monies, wait and see what happens in July

I'm not in the scheme this year but I got paid by mistake. Tbh when I saw how much it was actually worth I was glad that I didn't bother with it this year.

I am definitely not doing it next year. 230 quid - not worth it for the hassle!

That what DES want to happen - no one will bother and we will be expected to do it eventually as part of cost saving measures.
