I just post this as a 'heads up', doubt I'll be watching myself.

    Impact: Tragedy on Irish Roads
First of a two-part documentary exploring the effects of traffic collisions in Ireland, featuring talks with the family members of victims of fatal crashes, plus survivors who have been left with disabilities. Members of the gardai and emergency services also reveal how being the first on the scene affects them. Gay Byrne presents

I'm just going to assume it is the same sensationalist rubbish TV3 punts out on a regular basis and not watch

I actually thought it was pretty reasonable. I didn't find it particularly sensationalist, and the lack of focus on speed meant I didn't find myself getting cross.

Some very sad stories in there.

I stand corrected but TV3 are gaining a reputation in that regard

Nothing preachy just stories about the survivors be they family or the actual person involved in motor accidents and a very frank piece on Jim McDaid and his drink driving.

But then I'm sure others here will find some part of it that they can give out about Gay or the RSA. No other comment other than to say parts of it were very moving.

It's a series so on again next week.

The stories were very realistically portrayed and moving - not a fan of these types of programmes, but it was worth watching.
