    Hi there,
I have a statoil fuel card account, and will be driving to France at the end of April, and doing a lot of Kms on French motorways.
    So a couple of questions..

Are Statoil Routex cards valid for Fuel and/or Motorway tolls?

If not, can someone with experience of using similar cards point me in the right direction to get a multi-purpose card.

    Thanks

    IA

Does the card have "INT 6x" or "NAT 6x" (where x is another number) on the front?

My 'Statoil' (Topaz) personal card is INT 63 coded and has worked anywhere I've tried it, including fuel in France. Never tried it for tolls and I'm not sure that 63 codes work for tolls - think its a higher one required, 64 or 65. The second number determines what stuff the card allows.

If you've found an English language website explaining what the codes mean, you've done better than I have! Read them in the book that came with the card about 5 years ago, which I've since lost.

It's probably a bit tight now for end of April, but you can get a toll tag for the french autoroutes from sanef - it's 2 euros a month per month you use the tag and no charge for idle months. It fits a eflow tag holder too. You can breeze past the queue at busy tolls.

If someone else is payin, you won't care motorway fiuel is much more expensive than off line, but if you are payin some amount, then supermarkets have much cheaper fuel. Also Diesel is cheaper there than here, but petrol is dearer in France than here.

    Hi,

I know the post is pretty old but it might help; you can check the ROUTEX Card acceptance for Tolls and Road taxes under the following link: http://routex.com/road-tax/
