Anyone watching sky 520 - discovery channel, right now. Airplane Repo. Fascinating stuff. They are repossesing an a320 from a french airline before it files for bankrucptcy.

Cannot work out what airline it was as they have blurred identifying marks.

Seems to be 4 blue diamonds in a diamond shape.

I thought it was fascinating. They repossessed two of them at the same time. Tech difficulties made it quite difficult. Must remember to watch it next week.

It was interesting for Monday night TV which normally only has new air crash investigation

Didn't think it was riveting stuff tbh

There is about 10 minutes of interesting material per episode. The rest is contrived drama and repetition. IMHO these shows are best recorded and then "speed watched" to avoid the above as well as the lengthy ads breaks.

It is also irritating that all identifying logos and aircraft markings are blocked out thoughout the programme. However in the A320 episode it was clear that they were referring to two specific aircraft, with manufacturer's serials 87 and 88, so it was not difficult with a Google search to look up their full histories. As they are such early production examples it looks like they have been retired to Goodyear in Arizona.

its totally over exaggerated folks!!! and that ''master mechanic'' who took 4 hours to replace the Brake servo manifold with only ''standard tools'', ehhm thats all it takes!! not a 4 hour job and obviously it wasn't tested correctly if it started leaking and almost caused ''the plane to be unable to stop on landing and crash''

i liked the first 2 episodes but last night really took the piss

For people that dont work in the Aviation biz or any other sort of operations the TV people really hype it up for the normal veiwer to make it look like life or death situation,Jaysus if they done a documentry on my aul place they would be wetting them selves as every night of operations was totally different,We would have acft going tech diverting due to weather etc moving our operations to another airport due to hi jackings.
