    Hi everyone.

    I'm selling a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 G-Spec for around 210 Euros and I doing a bit of work around the house. If I get enough money I want to get a brand new airsoft rifle. I'm having a problem here as I either want a Styer AUG A1/ A2 or a M4. The specs that I want to have for a good airsoft rifle are:

    * Around 300 Euro.
    * I want something compact.
    * Wide range of after market parts.
    * Looks like a good rifle
    * Rails.
    * Has a long barrel for an accurate shot.
    * No problems
    * Not too heavy or light... just right.
    * Be easy to break down/ customize.
    * No wobbly parts.

    It be very helpful if I could get good answers as this will be my third and final airsoft rifle for a while.

    Thanks.

    Well if you want all the things on that list, then i would say that rules out the AUG.

    Have you looked at G&G's range of Armalites? :)

    Pick yourself up a G&G M4, not too pricey, out of the box they fire superbly, I have one just a standard G&G M4, think its the GR-16 Combat Machine, full metal body, comes installed with a 6.04 TBB, nice range, very accurate and also nice trigger response.

    Also when it comes to customising or adding after market parts to the AEG, with m4's its pretty endless when it comes to adding parts theres so much to choose from for the rifle.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks guys. I'm not really sure if I would get a G&G as my friend has one and the charging handle I think it's called, is broken and theres something wrong with the barrel or hop-up chamber. Theres a good looking DBoys BI-3981M on SE Airsoft for a good price. But I just have one more question... If I was to get this for a JG Styer AUG A2 would it be better than a M4 ( Follow link ). Thanks.

    * Around 300 Euro. - Either
    * I want something compact. - AUG
    * Wide range of after market parts. - Armalite
    * Looks like a good rifle -AUG ;)
    * Rails. -Armalite
    * Has a long barrel for an accurate shot. - AUG
    * No problems - Depends on manufaturer, but either
    * Not too heavy or light... just right. - AUG (imo)
    * Be easy to break down/ customize. - AUG
    * No wobbly parts. - AUG (barring the foregrip)

    You'll do well with either, but if you're a fan of sticklebricks all over your guns, then AUGs aren't for you! ;)

    Unless you can get your hands on an AUG A3. You can stick a mental amount of bits with extremely limited usefulness onto those things. That conversion kit looks like it'd do it either, but it's not cheap.

    Regarding compactness an M4's about the same length as an AUG, so there's not much to choose between them in that regard. However, the AUG has a significantly longer barrel in that length, and balances nicely around the pistol grip, whereas the M4's front-heavy, which I think makes manoeuvering with the AUG easier.

    I know that that conversion kit is not cheap for 140 Dollars but convert it to Euros and it's only 98.45 Euros. Not a bad price I think for a conversion kit for a AUG A2.

    Add tax and shipping, then you'll be looking at roughly €130 or so.

    Well... that kinda sucks now. I think I would be better going off with a Colt M4. I might get a G&G as they do have a good range of M4's. Plus their quality is pretty good if you get th right one.

    Hey. If I was to ask a airsoft retailer to get this would be any good.

    Also if anyone knows, would I have to pay for shipping/tax? Thanks.

    well mate from my own experience of owning a cybergun/colt M4A1,and shootin a JG steyr Aug A1 the M4 is by far the better gun.the aug is brutal for range but is quite powerful.while i took the m4 out for a few shots and i was hitting my garden light(30 yds away)every time!!!!!!!

    There are plenty of retailers in Ireland that stock that particular AEG or similar along the line of Blowbacks from G&G, SG Airsoft do the G&G Long and Short Raiders which are beautiful pieces and also extremely accurate, I'm pretty sure they do delivery aswell :) I'm sure plenty of Irish retailers would stock them but off the top of my head I'm definate that SG stock them:p

    Hi everyone.

    I'd like to thank everyone for their answers and I have decided to get a Colt M4 instead of a Styer AUG A1/ A2. Why I'm getting a Colt M4:

    - Most famous airsoft rifle.
    - Lots of after market parts.
    - Rails (The type I'm getting).
    - Looks wicked.
    - Very cheap (The type I'm getting).
    - Compact.

    I'd like to know if anyone owns this type if airsoft rifle and tell me if there is good points and bad points for this AEG. M.I.A. said that it should be back in stock in 4 weeks. Follow link bellow:

    http://www.mainirishairsoft.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=698

    This would help as I could just know what it's like before I get it. Thanks everyone!
