If I understand correctly, by paying in advance you mean you pay on the first of the month for the next four weeks accomodation? Then of course you have to pay - otherwise it would be eight weeks since your last rent when you leave. Why would you get four weeks free?

If you paid rent three weeks ago (assuming you gave one month's notice) then you do not have to pay any more.

If you pay rent on the first of the month, the rent paid on March 1st covers you until March 31st - generally in most arrangements you pay in advance every month.
