Clare drowning tragedy?

The Garda have said that the deaths of the two sisters who died by drowning on a beach in Clare are not suspicious.

The Irish Times this morning says that a suicide pact is not suspected either.

News media report that the women were walking on the beach, after their bodies were recovered an SPCA officer removed a dog from their car.

Why would anybody go walking on a beach and leave their dog locked into their car?

Would not most people, in normal circumstances bring their dog with them?

I don't know what conspiracy theory you have in mind here, the general theory appears to be that they went for a walk on the beach, one or both of them was wading in the water, one of them lost her balance or was knocked over by a sudden wave and when the other went to her aid she fell into the water and they were both swept out to sea.

They could easily have made the choice to leave the dog in the car because otherwise the dog would scatter sand all over the car when he came back from the beach.

Doggy people would not care about the sand. They would have a blanket for the dog to sit on. One of the sisters had health issues. They had driven some distance from where they lived.

The "conspiracy theory" is a suicide pact and they didn't want the dog to panic and follow them into the water.
