What you may save in price, I don't think you'll save when customs gets it.

You might get a good deal second hand, this and this are examples of quality bikes in the adverts section here. Good luck with the search, as the_syco says customs will probably catch you, I had to pay €50 for a used MTB frame I got in the States so I'd imagine you'd be paying out more!

Customs are the least of your worries; most bike websites from Indonesia are scams. You pay your money (probably via Western Union) and don't receive anything. Avoid.

thanks I am fully aware of the scam,

just a note on customs, do you have a better chance of shipping to usps ? as regards tax.

    thanks

USPS is not particularly relevant to Indonesia but my general idea is that there is a lower chance of being stopped for customs using the postal system rather than a courier.

Guaranteed scam if they're looking for payment via WU and WU only. Just use your head. Quiz them on bike. Ask for lots of photos of specific areas of bike. If they're not forthcoming then forget it. Also, if they're not signing off emails with a recognizable name it might be energy. Was looking into it recently like you and twas definitely bogus. If your into building bikes do a search for Chinese frames on roadbikereview. Latest thread is 5.0
